Gifts of the Holy Spirit
1. Wisdom: I chose a picture of the tree of life (also known as the tree of wisdom) because it represents the desire to acquire new information.
2. Understanding: I chose to use a picture of an eye because to me it represents clarity. In order to understand the Lord and his workings, we must see clearly.
3. Counsel: I used a picture of the Bible because people read the Bible in order to help make decisions. The Bible includes stories about the wrath of God and how those who reject him cannot attain salvation.
4. Fortitude: I used a picture of muscles because most people associate strength with muscles. In order to do the will of God, we must use all of our strength.
5. Knowledge: I chose a picture of the brain because in order to retain knowledge, we must use our brain. Finding the will of God require us to use all the knowledge we possess.
6. Piety: I used a picture of a father and a child holding hands because that represents the relationship that we want to have with God. We want a fatherly relationship, which includes his love for us, and in return we obey him.
7. Fear of the Lord: I chose a picture of a person praying, because those who fear the wrath of God will work their hardest to keep him close. One of the best ways to stay close to God is to pray daily.
